We have a couple of the Improvinglifestyles Swivel Seat Cushion and they really assist you in getting in and out of the car. It seems the newer one is improved and works well. We also use it in the house.

This product fails at the only thing it is supposed to do: swivel.
You could wrench your back tying to turn while sitting on this thing.
Amazon only returned $9.00 out of the nearly $20 total including shipping.
So I lost money on an inferior product. My first bad experience with Amazon, but I am now reluctant to order again.

Item arrived in a timely manner, and packaged well. First thing we noticed was it rattled when shook. I assumed this may be the case if it is roller balls as part of the turning mechanism. As the bottom part was riveted to the top seat there was not easy way to see what was rattling.
On a solid chair, it swiveled okay, did take a bit of effort to turn though. I thought it may wear in or this was a safety margin for use in a car.
When put on a car seat, it was much more difficult to swivel. It was also noticeably uncomfortable to sit on for anything more than short trips.
We returned for these reasons.
