Mother in law visiting...needed a way for her to have additional balance and support in shower. Easy to install and remove. Great product. The only negative was the packaging...SO DIFFICULT TO OPEN!! If I were the person who was having some strength and limited physical ability issues.....the one who needed the shower bars.....I would not have been able to open the package. It seems counterintuitive to make the packaging of an assistance device so hard to open. BUT produst itself is great.

This item is a great idea but in reality it doesn't work well. The shower plastic must be smooth and FLAT with no grout ridges. If there are any it will NOT stay firmly on the wall or rail and is a waste of time and your money. If it does stay on the wall you STILL can't put full weight on it. You must get one that mounts to the wall studs via a LARGE wood screw.

Bought this for a 95 year old and the suction holds great. I've had it on my tub enclosure for over 2 weeks and haven't had to re-suction it yet. She loves it and feels mush safer with it.

Bar is advertised as 12 inches long However it is only 11 5/8inches and is imposible to install on typical bath tile as shown. Also the mounting picture shown is impossible on any tile I am familar with!!!

I bought this to use on vacation in a rental home that wasn't equiped with handicap grab bars in the shower. I need a little stability these days due to a degenerative nerve illness and thought I would give them a try. Normally I don't read the directions on stuff like this but figured I didn't want to get it wrong and end up on the floor so I read them. Simple enough, clean the wall tiles, don't install over grout lines, stuff like that. Well I can tell you that after installing this grab bar according to the directions I was amazed at how strong these were. We stayed for a little over a week and I didn't have to adjust or reinstall this, it worked perfectly and gave me the stability that I needed to feel secure. I would buy this again in a heartbeat and to tell you the whole story, I normally try to buy the best the first time and don't like to skimp but the difference in price between these and the more expensive units didn't seem worth it for what seemed like the same product. I actually bought two of these for less than the price of the more expensive models. Follow the directions and test before using and I think you will be happy with the performance.
