very good Nov 10, 2009
By Matthew G. Sherwin This is an excellent sloping seat cushion that I use in my car after my physical therapist recommended it to me. It's easy to care for with that removable seat cover which you can easily wash; and it supports not just my coccyx bone but my lower back as well. Moreover, this helps reduce my shoulder pain from an old rotator cuff injury; if I sit up straight in the driver's seat of my car any sporadic shoulder pain is greatly reduced.
The product description above notes that this will prevent you from any discomfort while sitting on hard or even soft surfaces; I would imagine this is true although I have not used this cushion for that purpose. I use this largely in my car when I'm driving.
This seat will last me a long time. Sure, I anticipate that slowly over time the navy blue fabric cover will begin to fray and have a hole or two in it; but I don't see that as a potential problem. The cover is just that--a fabric cover that just won't make the actual seat cushion less useful by itself without any cover on it.
Overall, I highly recommend this sloped seat cushion for anyone like me who needs lower back support or seat support for any other medical reason. It's a good product that should last years.

Great for my Broken Coccyx Feb 06, 2011
By ChattTraveler I broke my tailbone years ago in a fall playing basketball, and sitting for long periods of time occasionally have been difficult. I have used a donut pillow, a Tempurpedic cushion, and this item. This seemed to do the job. I had a lambswool cover on my car seat, so I slid the cushion underneath it, and it stayed put. I don't think I would like to have to mess with it sliding around, or having to reposition it every time I got in and out of the car. Anyway, it took the pressure off my coccyx, and I had no more problems. (I am driving a new car with much better seats now, and don't need the cushion, so I can't comments on its lifespan. It seemed fairly firm enough to last a good while. I weigh 130 lbs., so I'm not sure if someone a lot heavier would get the same results.)

Back Pain Aid Mar 06, 2011
By Charlotte Harrell I have owned several of these cushions. For fitting into my chairs at home, they all seem to be a little too large. However, they really do help with the back pain. A regular straight chair leaves me in lots of pain quickly. With this cushion I can sit an extended time without the pain developing. I have one in my dining chair and one in my desk chair.
Not a lot of support Apr 21, 2010
By B. Rhees I initially tried this seat cushion in my car and was disappointed (I found it too easily compressed and offering little support) but then I discovered that the cushion was just fine for my office chair at work.

Amazon description didn't include dimensions and would not fit in any chair I owned. Returned it.
