Doesn't work for me... Apr 26, 2010
By bluesundown You have to grip it very tightly to keep it from slipping. If I could grip that tight, I wouldn't need to use a tool.

ya need good grip! Sep 11, 2011
By bobby Even w/ a good grip, this product will slip on very tight lids. One also must have a good grip on the container being opened. If you lack strength in either hand...leave this product on the shelf.

Useless! Feb 25, 2012
By Katherine R. Mckeon I had one of these and it was totally useless. Did not grip or hold. I finally threw it away! I'm going back to the rubbery sheet type. It just works better.

Useless Dec 27, 2011
By L. Strehle This product was so brittle that I couldn't even make the opening wide enough to fit a mayonaise jar. My mother-in-law has trouble opening jars due to her arthritis. There is no way she would have the strength to widen the tool enough to fit on a jar, let alone twist it around to open a jar. This tool is a joke because anyone who needs it, isn't strong enough to operate it.
It is also a joke that it is selling on Amazon for the price that it sells for. If you flip the package over it says it is made in China for Greenbrier International...which is another name for Dollar Tree. I even stopped by Dollar tree, just to see for sure, and sure enough there was a whole wrack of the exact ones, for only a buck each.
So, if you really don't believe all these bad reviews and feel the need to purchase this item, swing by your local dollar tree and get it for a buck and save the money on shipping while you are at it. If you are going to throw money out, might as well only spend a dollar.

The Worst Opening Tool Dec 23, 2011
By Jose I too had a very hard time using this tool. It does not work. Sure you eventually will get your jar or container opened, but you will need some extra strength to be able to use this tool because it is too small and difficult to handle. What is more, it does not work in big jars because it it too small for them, like those pickle jars. I actually made the huge mistake of buying two of this useless items that I now have to throw away. Bottom line: if you think that you gen save money by buying this item, you will regret every effort you made to purchase it because soon you will be buying a suitable replacement. Returning this item to the seller is not worth any effort because of its price, so you simply have to throw it away and buy a different one. If you think that you can give this item as a present to any one, think again because they will hate your guts when they try to use this piece of junk.
