I recently purchased a 19 inch Drive Transport Chair. The chair arrived promptly. It is well made and durable. It folds compactly and fits easily into the car. Unfortunately, I had to return it because I was unable to lift it. A taller and stronger person would have no problem, but I was unable to handle it easily. Amazon handled my return and refund promptly and efficiently. They are very good to do business with.

The Drive Medical Economy Transport 19" Chair is actually 32" wide at the castors. Information should be included about outside or overall width. I ordered the chair so that I could visit my kids in their NYC apartment and get through doors in an older building, but it was too wide.

We were so happy when the chair arrived. It was very well made. Just a few simple adjustments after it came out of the box. We needed a chair to take our mother to doctor's visits and mall shopping etc. The chair is about 26 lbs, but it folds nicely to fit in a trunk. We love it!

This smaller size (17" seat, I think) was so helpful during my recovery from foot surgery. I only used it outside a couple of times, but pushed myself around the house backwards using my good foot. No big wheels to use so it was easier to push. Because of its size and being light weight, it was easy to handle both for myself in pushing and when someone had to push me. I'd recommend this product for temporary use, not for continual use.

We purchased the transport chair for our mother age 87 because she has trouble with shortness of breath and cannot walk short distances without much labor. We bought the chair without any prior experience with it, only having viewed it online. We are most pleased with the relief it has brought to our mother. She is now able to attend social events and has the ability to get out of the house and into a more stimulating environment. The chair is solid and well built. It rolls easily when pushed. It collapses easily and fits nicely onto the trunk of a sedan. I highly recommend this item and would purchase it again for any other family member who might need one. The free shipping offered on our purchase only enhanced the reasonable purchase price.
