Wow, this really works! Mar 20, 2010
By Dad3*3 I bought this to use on vacation in a rental home that wasn't equiped with handicap grab bars in the shower. I need a little stability these days due to a degenerative nerve illness and thought I would give them a try. Normally I don't read the directions on stuff like this but figured I didn't want to get it wrong and end up on the floor so I read them. Simple enough, clean the wall tiles, don't install over grout lines, stuff like that. Well I can tell you that after installing this grab bar according to the directions I was amazed at how strong these were. We stayed for a little over a week and I didn't have to adjust or reinstall this, it worked perfectly and gave me the stability that I needed to feel secure. I would buy this again in a heartbeat and to tell you the whole story, I normally try to buy the best the first time and don't like to skimp but the difference in price between these and the more expensive units didn't seem worth it for what seemed like the same product. I actually bought two of these for less than the price of the more expensive models. Follow the directions and test before using and I think you will be happy with the performance.

bath safety grip Sep 26, 2010

This is a great product. I am slightly disabled when it comes to getting in the tub and this has been a life saver. Also when I am in, it helps give me that extra safety factor I need when turning around or exiting the tub. I am so glad I purchased it. Always I repeat always make sure it it "SECURELY" attached before depending on it for support. I find if I don't put it straight up and down and slant it just a little the suction holds better. My thumb of rule is never depend on any safety device especially in that type of situation until you make sure it is locked down and safely attached before pulling on it to assist you getting in or out of the tub. I love it and wish I would have had it when I had my knee replacement.
Interesting product Aug 13, 2011
By jnk Cool toy but that is what it is because it dos not stay on tile or fiberglass so quite useless Grab bar falls down by it self making a large noise.
Safe as a rubber crutch Nov 07, 2010
By Jeffrey C. Hornyak I bought this item to provide my 87 year old mother with additional safety in her shower. Her shower is a one piece fiberglass insert. I cleaned the shower wall to perfection. I installed this product on a completely flat area. (I checked the flatness with an 18" Starett scale. It fell off after 35 seconds. I then installed this product on a piece of polished plate glass. It popped off after 45 seconds. I think that this product is not safe. The people who would benifit from this type of product, more often than not, have health issues. They have two concerns in the shower. Attending to their hygine, and not breaking their hip in a fall. A person in this situation, should not have to, nor can they be expected to, concern themselves with the real safety of their safety appliances. I returned this product.
