Simple and stable Jul 24, 2010
I bought this for my grandmother, and it has worked very well for her. It's narrow enough that she has it at the head of her bed and it does not get in her way when transferring to her wheelchair. It is stable even on her twin size bed, even though her mattress is very lightweight and the frame is antique wood so there is no attachment to the frame or headboard. It's not obvious from the description but there is a nylon strap that you wrap around the bedsprings and that is what really stabilizes the handle.

Great help for my mom May 02, 2010
My mom is elderly, and often has trouble sitting upright from a lying down position in bed. This gives her something to hold onto and pull herself up, which is a great help. However, it's not so big that it's in the way of her getting in or out of bed, which is also great. All in all, both she and I are definitely pleased with the purchase. The installation instructions were not very detailed, but it wasn't that hard to figure out.

Drive Medical Home Bed Assist Handle Feb 02, 2010
Mom is 86 and was having trouble sitting up in bed; the PT recommended we check out a Drive Medical bed assist handle. It came exactly when I expected it, in a small box with a very large box encompassing that. It was easy to put together, and sturdy when positioned. Mom is very happy that she has it; she flails around much less, now. See, when parents get old enough, they become easy to shop for again -- this was her Christmas present!

GREAT PRODUCT & IDEA Jan 23, 2010
Got this product for my sister who has a back problem. It was a life saver,she had trouble getting in and out of bed.
We do not know how she could of gotten out of bed without this product, it gave her independance. Also the height adjustability is another good feature.
This product makes it much safer for assisting in exiting and entering bed.
